Julie Mellor

I have worked for Taking Part since September 2002 being CEO since April 2011.  As I oversee the operational and strategic direction of Taking Part. I take pride in being part of a hard-working and dedicated team.  Taking Part is well-respected with a strong reputation of service delivery to help and support the people across Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin.

Jamila Thomas

Role - Taking Part Project Ordinator and Project Co Ordinator

I plan and deliver ‘Escape club nights’ and sessions for SEND families, ‘Moving and Grooving  focus; the outdoors.

I help edit ‘Rainbow Times’ newsletter, which showcases activities and people of Shropshire day centres.

I design resources for Rainbow Times and Good things to do at home project.

I co/managed Facebook pages for Taking Part.

I have created various illustrative and photographic artwork for Taking Part.

Diana Morgan

In 2005 I started as a project advocate for South Shropshire.

My role now is

Advocate/Project Officer. 

Work streams include:-

Transforming Care Partnership;

Independent Advisory Groups -

West Mercia police;

NHS Advisory Group working with      an expert by experience;

DOL's Paid Representative;

I am an advocate working with clients who require General Advocacy.

Michelle Evans

Hi my name is Michelle Evans, I started working for Taking Part in 2011

In my working role with Taking Part I have the opportunity to do a number of interesting and rewarding roles, including project and engagement work.

I am also a Project Advocate for Taking Part and a fully trained Care Act Advocate covering all of Shropshire.

Beth Brooker 

I started working for Taking Part in October 2015.

My role is an information, advice and guidance officer and I work as part of the Wellbeing Independence Partnership in Telford and Wrekin. 

 

We support people with health and social care needs to look for support within the local community and also make referrals into Adult social care for more formal assessments and support.

Delphine Wise

Hello, my name is Delphine. I have been a Taking Part Citizen
Advocate since 2016  (beginning with OSCA in 2014).

 

 

I am currently supporting the Citizen Advocacy project
coordinators, the Citizen            Advocacy Forum and              other projects. I organise our Digital Skills Programme.  
I also supporting adults with learning disabilities to use the new Shropshire Council A Noticeboard website.
In 2021, I joined the team as      a Community Link Worker (a partnership project with Telford and Wrekin CVS).

Tash Gilmore

Hi, my name is Tash Gilmore.  I started working with Taking Part in October 2016 as a Citizen Advocacy Project Co-ordinator, co-ordinating a group of volunteers in their long term Citizen Advocacy relationships, supporting adults who have a learning difficulty.

 

I also now work as one of Taking Part's Independent Advocates.

Keith Bilson

Hi, I am Keith Billson. I have been an independent advocate for nearly 20 years.

I also co-ordinate and support      a small team of volunteer citizen advocates in South Shropshire. Another role I have is to provide information, advice and guidance to adults in Telford  with support needs through        the Wellbeing Independence Partnership.

Gill Edmunds

I have been working directly with Taking Part since December
2016 as an independent project officer and advocate.

 

I've had a number of roles over the years and worked on different projects but my main activity now is parental advocacy support and Paid RPR work, as well as Telford & Wrekin Learning Partnership Board support and business development support to the Julie (Taking Part’s CEO).

Fiona Williams

Hi my name is Fi, I started working for Taking Part in 2004 as a Project Advocate, since then I have had the opportunity to do a number of interesting and rewarding roles.

Now I support the Experts by Experience groups and support Taking Part with website admin, documentation production and easyread.

Angie Trevor

Hi my name is Angie.

 

I am supporting Gill with her advocacy case load.

 

I am an experience councillor.

 

I previously worked for OSCA.
